LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws are pleased to announce their annual Youth Baseball Camp returns to FirstEnergy Park this summer. All participants will receive direct instruction from current BlueClaws players.
In the past, instructors have included Ryan Howard, Cole Hamels, JA Happ and Kyle Kendrick.
"This is always one of our most popular events," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "Young players can learn about the game from devoted BlueClaws players in a fun and exciting atmosphere."
Space is limited and the 2009 baseball camp sold out, so interested parents are advised to book early.
The first session of the 2010 Youth Baseball Camp runs from July 20th through 23rd and the second starts on August 16th and ends on the 19th. All sessions run from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
Campers will have a chance to learn all aspects of the game from BlueClaws players with an emphasis on hitting, base running, fielding, throwing, pitching, position work, and more. This is a terrific opportunity for kids to not only improve at baseball but also play on a professional field.
The camp is open to all 7-12 year old boys and girls. Each camper gets four days of professional instruction, one free ticket to the August 31st game (with an option to purchase additional tickets), a free lunch each day, BlueClaws merchandise, and an autograph session on the last day of camp.
Registration is $175 for one session and $325 for both.
