Published on October 14, 2014 under X-League (X-League) News Release

(Palm Harbor, FL) | On October 5, 2014, the X-League announced the addition of the Chicago Blitz. Following recent events the X-League and the Chicago Blitz have amicably agreed to part ways. The X-League will release the Blitz from their contract and will be free to join any league for the 2015 season. The X-League will also now maintain the right to add a team in the Chicago area. While it is unfortunate to see a team leave the X-League, the agreement is mutually beneficial to and in the best interest of both parties. We wish the Chicago Blitz organization and fans the best moving forward and we will continue working on our official line-up of teams for the 2015 season.

The X-League currently consists of 10 teams in 7 states. Those 10 teams include the Alabama Outlawz, Cape Fear Heroes, Corpus Christi Fury, Florida Marine Raiders, Florida Tarpons, Georgia Rampage, Marion Blue Racers, Rio Grande Valley Sol, Savannah Steam, and St. Louis Attack. The X-League is still reviewing applications to join the league for the 2015 season. We expect to add more teams by the end of October, and plan to release the league schedule and alignment by late November. We look to add the best, most competitive teams possible on and off the field for our fans, players and to have a successful 2015 season.
