BIG3 Week 6 Preview: Stephen Jackson, Killer 3's Look to Halt 3's Company's Winning Streak

July 25, 2019 - BIG3 (BIG3) News Release

With plenty of hype heading into Week 5 of the BIG3 season, the weekend of games did not disappoint.

The 2018 BIG3 Champions, Power, won a nail-biter against the then-undefeated Triplets and Joe Johnson who were pegged as the biggest threat to the Power throne.

Amar'e Stoudemire also threw down a dunk of the year helping Tri-State squeeze by the 3 Headed Monsters in thrilling fashion.

The excitement is set to continue in Salt Lake City for Week 6.

3's Company (2-3) v. Killer 3's (4-1)

In the matchup of the weekend, 3's Company is coming in with two straight victories by a combined 28 points after an 0-3 start to the season. Andre Emmett has given the team new life scoring 38 points in the last two games.

On the other side, Killer 3's has a well-rounded attack led by Stephen Jackson, Donte Green and Franklin Session, who has 15 rebounds and nine assists in the last two games.

Jackson will need to lockdown Emmett if Killer 3's wants to hold on to its one-loss record.

Ball Hogs (0-5) v. Triplets (4-1)

The Ball Hogs season has not gone to plan. Still looking for their first win of the year, they will face the angry Triplets who lost their first game of the year to the 2018 BIG3 Champions Power.

While this game might not be expected to be close, DeShawn Stevenson has been known for his great defense from his time on LeBron James in the 2011 NBA Finals.

On Saturday, Stevenson will face off against maybe the best scorer in the league Joe Johnson.

Bivouac (2-3) v. Aliens (2-3)

Bivouac, in need of a Will Bynum return, is coming off its worst loss of the season and need a win desperately to stay alive in the playoff race.

Aliens is in a similar position needing a win but had their best performance of the season with a blow-out victory over the Ghost Ballers in Oklahoma City.

War in the interior will take place between Josh Smith and Greg Oden. Whoever can get the upper hand inside will surely be on their way to a .500 record and a spot back in playoff contention.

Don't miss out on the action!
