Bello's Gem Leads to 2-1 Tucson Win

Victoria, BC-The Tucson Toros snapped a five game losing streak with a 2-1 victory in Victoria Wednesday. Tucson starter Cibney Bello had his strongest start of the season, going 6 2/3 innings and allowing just one run on five hits. Bello received a no decision after departing with the score tied 1-1, but the bullpen held. Jason Hanna threw 1 1/3 innings of perfect ball to keep these score knotted going into the top the 9th when the Toros took a 2-1 lead. Reid Price was perfect in the 9th to earn his first save of the season. Hanna improved to 1-1 with the win.

Leftfielder Lino Garcia was 2-for-4 with his fourth home run of the season. Centerfield Andre Marshall was 2-for-3 with a run and a double. Shortstop Jason Priddy was 1-for-3 with a triple.

The Toros and Seals will face each other again Wednesday at 7:05 pm Tucson time in the third game of the four game series. A linked feed of the Victoria broadcast will be available at www.tucsontoros.com.

Tucson will return home just in time for Independence Day. The team will begin a three game homestand on July 4th at 7:00 pm. The game will feature a special Toros Star Spangled Spectacular.
