Bello Joins ECHL as Director of Team Business Development

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced on Monday that it has hired Rich Bello as Director of Team Business Development. He will begin his duties immediately.

Bello will be responsible for the sharing of best practices and ideas amongst all ECHL teams with a focus on fostering revenue growth through ticket planning and corporate partnership initiatives. In addition, Bello will also serve as the League liaison with team sales personnel, offering assistance, training and additional team services as the League looks to continue support of its Members.

Bello joins the ECHL from Seton Hall University, where had been the Director of Ticket Sales since November 2007. At Seton Hall, he was responsible for all new sales efforts for the university's men's and women's basketball teams, including full season, mini season and group plans. He also helped to conduct outbound marketing campaigns for basketball ticket sales. He developed the sales plan for the 2011 NCAA Men's Basketball Regional at the Prudential Center, which was hosted by Seton Hall, and was the highest attended of the four NCAA regional sites that year.

Prior to joining Seton Hall, Bello was an account manager for the New Jersey Devils, and also completed internships with the New York Giants, Dartcor Food Service, The Right Stuff Consulting and Turnstyles Ticketing.

Bello graduated from Seton Hall University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Sport Management. He earned a Masters of Arts in Strategic Communication from Seton Hall in 2011.
