Become a Paints Host Family & "Adopt" a Player
May 21, 2019 - Prospect League (Prospect)
Chillicothe Paints News Release
The Chillicothe Paints are always looking for Host Families to "adopt" Paints players during the season. Host Families play a crucial role in summer collegiate baseball, as most of the players on the Paints' roster are not from southern Ohio.
As collegiate student-athletes, Paints' players are not allowed to accept pay for playing in the Prospect League. As a result, the Paints rely on local families to house their players.
Host families are only obligated to provide a spare bedroom and access to a bathroom and laundry facilities. Each player is responsible for their own food and transportation, although host families are encouraged to include the player in family meals and activities.
Hosting a Paints' player can be a rewarding experience for the host family! Paints' players are excellent role models for young children and teenagers, and are great company for the entire household. Often, players and host families hare a friendship that lasts well beyond the end of the season.
A family that hosts a Paints' player is provided two (2) FREE season tickets for all Paints home games and will be recognized on field during the Paints' final home series.
If you are interested in hosting a Chillicothe Paints' player, please contact the Paints at paintswin@gmail.com, or phone, (740) 773-TEAM (8326) for additional information.
