Game Rewind
Friday Night Ice Out
The Battle Creek Revolution rolled into Swonder Ice Arena in Evansville, Indiana sporting a three game losing streak. The Revs fought hard until the final buzzer but they would leave the Swonder Ice Arena with a four game losing streak after a 4-3 loss at the hands of the Icemen.

The Evansville Icemen goal scorers were Steve Koich with the game winner, Andrew Scampoli, and Jon Esposito leading the charge with two goals. The Revolution goaltender Matt Wagner made 34 saves in the losing effort, but played strong enough to give the Revolution a chance to win. Former Revolution goaltender Mario Passarelli was the difference making 36 saves robbing his former club of two big points.
Saturday Night Frost Out
The Revolution stormed back the following night at Revolution Arena by frosting out the Icemen with returning the favor with a 4-3 win. The Revolution fans were treated to one of the best games of the year with the "Walls of Wagner" leading the charge in goal for the Rev's posting his first win in a Revolution jersey. It was also "Hockey Day" in Michigan and the Revolution lead the charge with giving its fans a night to remember.
The Battle Revolution struck first with a power play goal by Chris Affinati tipping a Rick Gadwa blast from the point in the net. The just fresh off his call up from the ECHL, Ryan Ford scored two unassisted goals to give the Icemen their only lead of the night. The Revolution scored quickly to tie the game up on a Charles Harvey goal on an assist from Todd Mcllrath and Joe Gerbe. Just over a minute later, the Revolution scored on a short handed goal from Todd Mcllrath with Gerbe on the assist with a sweet behind the back dish.
Just 54 seconds into the third period Ryan Ford completed the hat trick by scoring a goal with an assist from Steve Koich. Chris Affinati struck the back of the net again with his second goal of the night on the power play with Rick Gadwa and Ryan Sexsmith on the game winner. Team Captain Chris Affinati was named the number one star of the game. The Revolution finally broke their four game losing streak, leaving the hockey team leading Evansville by five points.
