Battle Creek Crunch News Release
The Battle Creek Crunch, the newest professional indoor football team in the Cereal City, continues to prepare for their first season in the Great Lakes Indoor Football League (GLIFL). The inaugural season of the six-team GLIFL kicks off April 7th, and the Crunch will host the Port Huron Pirates in their first game. All home games will take place at Kellogg Arena in downtown Battle Creek.
--The website is finally up and running! Check out all the news, stories, stats, schedule, and much more at the website at www.battlecreekcrunch.com. There is some other information for prospects and interested players and volunteers for the team:
-- For interested football players, the first official tryout for the Crunch is on Saturday, December 3rd, at the Kalamazoo Indoor Center, home of the Kalamazoo Kingdom practice facilities. The tryout starts at 3pm, and costs $45 for pre-registration, and $50 the day of the tryout. To pre-register or for more information on the tryout, e-mail the Crunch office at info@battlecreekcrunch.com.
-- The Crunch Dance Team is looking for prospects, and if you're interested, you can register online at the website. Registration ends November 21st, and the actual tryout is Friday, December 2nd, at the Family Y-Center's Multi-Sport Facility in Battle Creek from 5 to 8pm. The dancer fee is five dollars.
-- Tickets are now available on the website! Single game tickets will range from eight to 16 dollars, and season tickets will range from 40 to 85 dollars. Group packages are also available. Check out the website, or to e-mail the office at info@battlecreekcrunch.com to order your tickets.
-- The Battle Creek Crunch office will be open to the public soon! The office will be the place to buy Crunch merchandise, tickets, and much more. The office is across from the Columbia Plaza on 20th Street.
