"We're definitely excited to have a coach like Bob aboard as our first Head Coach of the Battle Creek Crunch," said Mike Powell, Owner and General Manager of the Crunch. "Bob's accomplishments on the field are well-noted, and he will be an excellent leader for our team."

Kubiak is currently the Assistant Head Coach and the Quarterback's Coach at Olivet College, where he returns for his second tenure with the school's coaching staff. Kubiak's playing experience in college includes four years at Olivet College, where he was a quarterback for the Comets. His semi-pro career includes 10 years as a player with the Lansing Crusaders in the Michigan Football League from 1982 to 1991, leading them to five championships in eight championship games. In 1992, he founded the Jackson Bombers, and in their first year in the MFL, he led the team to a 12-0 record and his sixth title.
