Ball Drive and Teacher Appreciation Night May 4 and 7

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Penn FC and Rush Soccer will be celebrating REACH (Rush Equipment Assisting Children) Day at the Friday, May 4 home game at FNB Field against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
The REACH program was established in 2002 as a Rush Soccer initiative aimed at making a difference for the beautiful game across the world. The program collects used uniforms, equipment and balls at a local level and then redistributes them to International Rush/REACH partner clubs as well as other underprivileged children around the world.
To date, REACH has collected and distributed more than 50,000 pieces of soccer equipment.
On Friday, Penn FC will be collecting any equipment including size-5 soccer balls, cleats, shin guards, gear etc., that will be sent to Cameroon Rush. Any fans that bring a donation for the drive will get a free ticket to the match.
"I'd like for you to participate in this program," said Forward Lucky Mkosana, Penn FC's official REACH spokesperson. "It's giving back to communities and underprivileged societies. Thank you so much for your support."
On Monday, May 7, Penn FC will return to City Island as it takes on Ottawa. For that match, Penn FC will be honoring local educators with Teacher Appreciation Night presented by Musselman's. A buy one, get one free offer will also be available for teachers at the gates.
Penn FC is accepting nominations for a "Teacher of the Night" here (bit.ly/2HxCPf9 ) for one teacher to receive two free tickets to the game, a scarf and a special recognition on the field.
