
B-Sens Best Bears in Overtime, 2-1

HERSHEY, P.A. - The Binghamton Senators concluded a stretch of three games in three nights as they travelled to Hershey for a Sunday evening tilt against the Bears. With just 6.5 seconds remaining in the overtime period, Hugh Jessiman tallied the game winning goal to send Binghamton home with the 2-1 victory.
The B-Sens struck first as the captain Andre Benoit picked up the rebound of a Mike Hoffman shot in front of the Bears net, firing it past Bears starting goaltender Philipp Grubauer to give Binghamton a 1-0 advantage at 3:02 of the second period. Andre Petersson drew the secondary assist on the goal.
The Bears evened the score with just 3:08 remaining in the period as Jeff Taffe blasted a puck between the pads of Robin Lehner to knot the game at one.
The game progressed to overtime with Jessiman officially locking up the victory for the B-Sens at 4:53. The goal was the forward's second game winner scored so far this season. Benoit drew the primary assist to earn his second point of the game.
Lehner turned aside 24 of the 25 shots he faced in the game to earn the win. Grubauer stopped 24 of 26 shots.
The B-Sens see action again next Saturday, Oct. 27 as they meet the Portland Pirates in Lewiston, M.E. Game time is 7 p.m. Fans can listen live on "Binghamton's Classic Hits" BIG 107.5 (WBBI-FM) beginning 15 minutes before game time as Grady Whittenburg, the voice of the B-Sens, hosts the Countdown to Faceoff.
