B.J. Robertson To Return To Frost Heaves For 2007-08
Published on July 24, 2007 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
South Burlington, VT. The ABA Vermont Frost Heaves will defend their title with Burlington native Byron (B.J.) Robertson, the 6'2" guard who helped the Heaves win an ABA championship in the team's first season.
Robertson, the all-time leading scorer in Burlington High School history, is a former co-captain at St. Michael's College, from which he graduated this summer.
"I'm excited to have B.J. back with the team for another season," said coach Will Voigt "He worked very hard this past season and has made tremendous strides in his game. I look forward to watching his continued development, and I have no doubt that he will play an integral role for the Frost Heaves this year."
"I'm more than excited to come back and can't wait to see what the team's going to bring back for next year," said Robertson. "I'm going to try to keep Vermont on the map."
Robertson joins post man John Bryant as returnees from the team's championship season. Vermont has also signed 6'4" guard Brett Gravitt, a former star at South Alabama and MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in Norway's top division.
With Stowe's Dana Martin having announced his retirement, the Frost Heaves will be looking for Vermonters like Robertson to add to their roster at the team's Vermont Tryout Camp this weekend, July 28 and 29, at St. Michael's. Spectators are welcome. Robertson, Martin and Milton's Kerry Lyons all successfully navigated the team's tryout process a year ago.
