Austin Aztex News Release
AUSTIN, Texas (www.austinaztex.com) - Starting with the Austin Aztex first match on Sunday, April 11 at House Park, game day will no longer mean fans just get to see a 90-minute match.
"Moving to House Park in downtown Austin truly provides the platform for Aztex games to become an entire event," Aztex CEO Djorn Buchholz said. "We hope fans will help to build the momentum of the entire Aztex experience and help us to turn our events into the thing to do in Austin."
Two hours before the match, The Tavern and the Aztex are hosting pregame parties with drink specials up until kickoff. 101X also joins the Aztex pregame at The Tavern with the 101X van that will be on hand to give away CDs, t-shirts, DVDs and movie passes.
Then to get the match started, the inaugural "Montezuma's March" will take all of Chantico's Army and the rest of Aztex Nation to House Park to cheer the Aztex to victory.
At halftime, DJ Vasco steals the spotlight, spinning hit after hit while fans win Aztex prizes. During the break as well, Austin's hottest local artists will be making appearances for short performances, promising to keep everyone on their feet.
Immediately following the match, all of House Park's rowdiest fans are invited to Cuatros for a postgame victory party. All of the Aztex stars will join the crowd at Cuatros when they are finished at House and are available to fans to hang out and talk about the match.
