Aztecs unveiled, Martinez named Director of Sales and Marketing

(Pueblo.Co) - Today, All American Professional Basketball League team in Pueblo, Colorado announced Gary Martinez as Director of Sales and Marketing. In addition, the league announced that the team in Pueblo would be named the Pueblo Aztecs.
"Gary Martinez is an experienced business man who has worked in sales and marketing his entire career," said AAPBL President, Worth Christie. "He brings the type of background that we are looking for in this position which is strong sales and sales management skills.
"I'm thrilled to be a part of this," said Martinez. "Pueblo has always been a good sports town, in my opinion, and i believe the community will strongly support this team."
Martinez was raised in Pueblo and graduated from Centennial High School. He spent most of his career in Texas before returning to Pueblo recenlty.
The league also announced that the team would be called the Aztecs. "We want to names our teams in a way that refers to a historical reference in our cities and we want to do that in a way that is respectful and honors that cities heritage, and yet allows us to incorporate entertaining events around the team's name" said Director of League Operations, Brad Pick
