Atlanta Vultures News Release

Atlanta, one of the largest and most diverse markets in North America, has a history rich in sports and culture. Georgia's capital will soon become a year- round mega-football city, as the Atlanta Vultures professional arena football team is set to take the stage in 2016. A member of the American Indoor Football League (AIF), the Atlanta Vultures will be hosted by the Georgia International Convention Center (GICC) for all home games in the 2016 Season.

The Atlanta Vultures is owned by Barrington J. Young, President, and General Manager along with Janice Strong, CFO, and VP of Legal Affairs. The management team is deeply passionate about indoor football and will contribute to the AIF's quest to become the leading professional indoor football league in the country.

Ms. Strong launched her legal career in Silicon Valley where she specialized in corporate law and venture capital for Fortune 100 companies. Janice has won several national awards for her outstanding representation of the underprivileged, including recognition from the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights.

Barrington J. Young has proved himself a very versatile player, succeeding in multiple field positions for the Dutch Fork Silver Fox Football team. Barrington continued to develop his football skills on scholarship with Benedict College. His intention is to recruit, develop, and retain top quality players that will bring championships to Atlanta.

Cedric Roach beat out several high profile contenders to land the Atlanta Vultures' Head Coaching job. Before joining the team, he was head coach and GM of the Tennessee Generals and Augusta Mavericks. His professional career also includes head coaching positions with the Augusta Colts, Georgia rampage, and Charleston Sandsharks.

Besides the professionally equipped management and coaching staff, the Atlanta Vultures buzz includes a solid player roster including John Strickland, a three time GLVC Champion. Strickland was selected in the preseason for First Team All-American by both Beyond Sports Network and USA Football Network. Born in Park Ridge, IL, Strickland was selected twice in All-GLVC First Team. While he played with UIndy, he was named All-Super Region Four Second Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America. He was also a key part of the UIndy defensive unit that ranked first in Division II scoring defense (13.3 ppg), second in passing defense (157.7 ypg) and fifth in total defense (282.5 ypg).

The city of Atlanta deserves a Championship team in the AIF and the Vultures will undoubtedly be a first-class team for the first-class city. The unparalleled management, coaching roster and players guarantees dynamic performances, a firestorm of energy, and the promise of championships.
