
Atlanta Beat Announces New Assistant GM

KENNESAW, GAanuary 5, 2010 ) - The Atlanta Beat of Women's Professional Soccer announced General Manager Shawn McGee will be stepping down from his post. McGee will be moving on to be Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
"Shawn was very instrumental in building this team from the very beginning," said Johnson. "We thank him sincerely for a job well done and wish him much success in his new endeavor."
"I've worked for some incredible people in my sports career," said McGee, "and Fitz Johnson is as good as it gets. I wish the Beat much success next season, and I will be cheering them on to a WPS Championship in 2011."
Kristin Lettiere, Director of Operations, has been promoted to Assistant General Manager following the departure of McGee. T.Fitz Johnson will assume the title of General Manager.
