Atlanta Aliens News Release

Atlanta, Ga. - Nov. 22, 2011 - The Atlanta Aliens professional basketball team, member of the American Basketball Association, is participating in a nationwide fundraiser with the National Foundation for Cancer Research entitled "Shoot for the Cure." The Atlanta Aliens' game for NFCR is taking place at 5:00 p.m. Dec. 4, 2011 versus the Hot 107.9 Hot Shots at Ben Hill Arena.

"As a team, we support cancer research because almost everyone has been affected by it in some way, whether directly or through a loved one," said Adrian Provost, Owner and General Manager of the Atlanta Aliens. "The cause is close to my heart, as I have lost two grandparents to the disease, and we are excited to contribute to NFCR's pursuit of a cure."

To raise funds, the team will be collecting general donations at the gate, as well as holding a 3-point shot raffle. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each, and those selected to participate who make their shot receive any one item from the concession stand for free.
