Ask The Athletic Trainer Debuts Monday On Www.abalive.com

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced that it would incorporate a new feature on its website, www.abalive.com, starting Monday, October 22 called "Ask the Athletic Trainer." The feature will be hosted by Chris B. Hart, M.Ed, ATC, CSCS, Manager of Athletic Training Services of C.O.R.E and the official trainer of the ABA Chicago Throwbacks professional basketball team. Each Monday, Chris will answer a different question about training.

Chris is a NATABOC Certified and Illinois-licensed Athletic Trainer. He also is a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist. He earned a Bachelor's degree from The Pennsylvania State University in Kinesiology and a Master's degree in Athletic Training from the University of Virginia. He currently acts as the Manager of Athletic Training Services for the Center for Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Excellence (C.O.R.E.) in Chicago and is the Head ATC for the Chicago Throwbacks.

Chris has outpatient and on field experience in:

*Sports Medicine/Athletic Training management at the collegiate level,

*Recognition, evaluation, prevention and treatment of Sports Injuries at the Professional sports, NCAA Division I athletics, high school and recreational club sports level,

*Acute and Chronic care of athletic injuries - Sprains, strains, fractures,

*Pre-and Post-Surgical interventions - particularly ACL reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs, SLAP repairs, meniscal repairs and tendon repairs,

*"Pre-habilitation" - Strength training for injury prevention

*Sports performance enhancement.
