Dallas Renegades running back Cameron Artis-Payne, DC Defenders linebacker Jameer Thurman and Seattle Dragons defensive end Marcell Frazier were named the OurSports Central XFL Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Unsung Hero of the Week, respectively, for week two of the XFL season.

Cameron Artis-Payne finished with 14 carries for 99 yards two rushing touchdowns in the Dallas Renegades' 25-18 victory over the Los Angeles Wildcats. Artis-Payne also caught five passes for 32 yards.

Artis-Payne, 29, played college football at Auburn and was a fifth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. He was a third-round pick by the Renegades in the XFL Skill Players Draft.

His second score of the game, a 17-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter, put the Renegades up by seven points.

Jameer Thurman returned an interception 46 yards for a touchdown in the DC Defenders' 27-0 victory over the New York Guardians. He also contributed four combined tackles, one special teams tackle and one pass defensed.

Thurman, 25, played at Indiana State before catching on with the Canadian Football League's Calgary Stampeders in 2017 and 2018. He won a Grey Cup with the Stampeders suring the 2018 season. Thurman was a sixth-round pick by the Defenders in the XFL Defensive Front Seven Draft.

Thurman's 46-yard interception return for a touchdown off New York Guardians quarterback Matt McGloin in the third quarter exemplified DC's dominance on Saturday.

Marcel Frazier intercepted a short pass by Tampa Bay Vipers quarterback Quinton Flowers and returned it one-yard for what proved to be the game-winning touchdown in the Seattle Dragons' 17-9 victory over the Tampa Bay Vipers.

Frazier, 26, had 92 total tackles and 17.5 sacks during the three years he played at Missouri from 2015 to 2017. He was taken by the Dragons in the XFL Open Draft.

His game-winning interception return was as surprising as it was brief.
