Long Beach Armada News Release
After a dismal 10-game losing streak, the Armada has turned the ship around and is sailing on a four-game win streak going into the final seven-game home stand of 2006. Dennis LeDuc, Andre Simpson, Brian Hoff, and Justin Ramsey all earned wins going back to last Thursday's 10-0 stomping of the Reno Silver Sox. The Armada bats have heated up as well hitting .330 over the last five games led by Jaime Martinez, Jeremy Hernandez, and Jeff LaRue. Hernandez has two home runs and seven RBIs and Martinez is hitting .412 with 4 runs scored and 4 RBIs. LaRue has 13 RBIs over the last five contests as well.
The Armada opens a four-game series with cross-town rivals the Fullerton Flyers tonight at 7:05 p.m. The pitching rotation will be announced later today. Check www.longbeacharmada.com throughout the day for updates and buy your tickets now!
