Ron Brewer's ArchAngels held off the visiting Bandits 81-76 in Little Rock. Richard Williams' Gulf Coast squad has lost three close ones to start the season 0-3, but don't count the bunch from Biloxi out! Arkansas evens it's record up at 1-1, and now 1-0 in the Western Conference.

Rome Gladiators 133 Kentucky Reach 109...

Kentucky could not match the scoring punch of the Gladiators on Thursday night in Elizabethtown. Rome opened up a close game in the third quarter and pulled away for its second win in as many tries. Daryl Dorsey's "MaJic" paced the way with 32 points and 9 assists, while Harvey Thomas (204-F-82, college: Baylor) (204-F-82, college: Baylor) got 24, Jamario Moon (203-F-80, college: Meridian CC) 20, Austin Nichols (198-F-82, college: Humboldt St.) 17 points (on 4-6 from 3pt. range). Edmund Saunders (203-F/C-78, college: Connecticut) collected 13 boards for Rome, while Kitwana Rhymer (208-C-78, college: Massachusetts) and Richard Millsap (198-G/F-80, college: Spring Hill) each had 8 points and 11 rebounds. Kentucky fell to 0-2 on the season and will welcome the Mississippi HardHats to town tomorrow night, before heading to Cleveland for a road game on this coming Saturday evening. Rome will be back in action on May 3, when Kentucky makes the trek to NW Georgia. Rome's record also moved to 2-0 in the Central Conference.
