Saguaros 6, Desert Dogs 4
With the final week of the Arizona Fall League season underway the Peoria Saguaros are only half a game behind first place Scottsdale. The Saguaros beat the Phoenix Desert Dogs 6-4 Monday afternoon at Peoria Sports Complex. Freddy Sanchez (PIT) was 4-for-5 with 3 RBIs in the win.
The Saguaros scored in each of the first three innings and never trailed. Aaron Hill (TOR) hit a sacrifice fly to left field to score Sanchez and give Peoria a 1-0 lead. Sanchez hit a two-run double in the second inning to give Peoria a 3-0 lead.
Down 6-0 in the fifth inning, the Desert Dogs scored 3 runs to cut the Saguaros' lead in half. A single by Jeremy Brown (OAK) scored two runs in the inning. A Chris Roberson (PHI) RBI single gave Phoenix their fourth run. With the loss, the Desert Dogs' lead is at 3 games over second place Grand Canyon.

Rafters @ Scorpions
The Rafters vs. Scorpions game was postponed due to weather conditions. The game will be made up Tuesday, November 16th. Grand Canyon and Scottsdale will play a double header at Scottsdale Stadium. The first game will be played at 12:05 pm.
Javelinas 7, Solar Sox 4
San Diego prospect Ben Johnson hit a RBI-double in the top of the ninth inning giving the Javelinas a 5-4 advantage. Baltimore prospect Eli Whiteside followed with a double that drove in two more Peoria runs. Relief pitcher R.D. Spiehs (SD) held the Solar Sox scoreless in the bottom of the ninth handing the Javelinas a 7-4 win.
Whiteside led all batters with a 4-for-5 performance, including two doubles and three RBI's. Paul McAnulty (SD) and Johnson had two hits apiece for the Javelinas. Jason Bergman (MON) earned his second win behind one inning of two-hit ball.
For the Solar Sox, Delmon Young (TB) was perfect at the plate with four hits and a walk. Cardinals prospect Gabe Johnson went 3-for-5, including a double. Adam Greenberg (CHC) and Pedro Lopez (CWS) added two hits apiece for Mesa. Cubs' infield prospect Brian Dopirak hit two home runs that accounted for three Solar Sox runs. Mesa stranded 15 runners on base in the loss.
