
Area Elementary School Students to be Honored Saturday

In keeping with their mission statement, of promoting academic growth, and being involved in the community, the Soo Eagles will be honoring local elementary students, in their "Student of the Month" ceremony, this Saturday night, at Pullar Stadium.
Area local elementary school students, who have succeeded in the classroom, will have the opportunity to go on the ice, during the first intermission, have their names read over the loudspeaker, shake hands with a Soo Eagle, and earn a certificate signed by the coaches.
Participating schools include JKL Bahwating, Lincoln, Soo Township and Washington schools in Sault Ste. Marie, and elementary schools in Brimley, Pickford and Rudyard. The Student of the Month, is chosen by the teacher in each classroom in the participating schools, and students selected, will have the chance to be honored, during the month, at a Soo Eagles home game, throughout the regular season.
