October 25, 2017 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. . American Hockey League President and Chief Executive Officer David Andrews announced today several changes to the league's front office:
Christopher Spano has been named Vice President of Team Business Services for the AHL. Spano joins the league after three years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A graduate of Bentley University, Spano has also served in ticket sales leadership positions with the Boston Bruins and San Diego Padres, and has managed corporate sales and services for StubHub.
Spano will be responsible for managing the AHL's innovative TBS program - a broad initiative providing quantitative and qualitative best-practices support to member clubs, with a focus on ticket sales, sponsorships, data collection, analysis and reporting.
Hannah Bevis has joined the American Hockey League office as Manager of Digital and Social Media. Bevis comes to the AHL with a broad range of experience in journalism, communications and digital media. A graduate of North Central College, Bevis spent the 2016-17 season as a member of the Chicago Wolves' game-night social media staff and as a sports reporter for the Daily Journal of Kankakee, Ill., and is also the site manager for The Ice Garden, an SB Nation blog covering women's hockey.
In addition, Emily Vance has been promoted to Manager of Business Analytics, and former coordinator of marketing services Casey Litwack has been appointed to the position of Manager of Hockey Administration.
In operation since 1936, the AHL serves as the top development league for all 31 National Hockey League teams. More than 88 percent of today's NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and more than 100 honored members of the Hockey Hall of Fame spent time in the AHL in their careers.
