Wichita Wingnuts starting pitcher Will Savage threw the second no-hitter in American Association history tonight as he and the Wingnuts beat the Sioux City Explorers 1-0. Savage threw 124 pitches giving up four walks while fanning seven Sioux City batters and also did not allow a runner past second base. Savage picks up his second win of the season. The only run of the game came off the bat of Wichita's LF Greg Porter who hit a third inning solo home run, his seventh of the season. Porter was 2-for-4 on the night.

St. Paul 12, Sioux Falls 3

@ St. Paul, MN. Time: 2:30 Attendance: 6,273

HR: SF-Patrick Reilly (2); SP-Jacob Butler 2 (9), Todd Self (3)

The St. Paul Saints scored 11 big runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to wipe out a 3-1 deficit and easily defeat the Sioux Falls Canaries. Saints LF Jacob Butler had a monster game going 2-for-4 with two home runs and five runs batted in. 2B Tony Mansolino was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI and 1B Todd Self was 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. St. Paul starter Mitch Wylie collects his fifth win of the season allowing three earned runs on five hits in six innings of work. Sioux Falls DH Cory Harris was 1-for-4 on the night and extended his on-base streak to 30 games.

Lincoln 6, El Paso 3

1B Phil Hawke and C Shawn McGill had solid games at the plate in leading the Lincoln Saltdogs past the El Paso Diablos. Hawke and McGill combined to go 6-for-8 at the plate with three runs scored and a run batted in. Lincoln starting pitcher Jonathan Figueroa picked up his second win of the season allowing one unearned run on a hit while fanning nine El Paso batters in a six inning performance. 3B Mike Provencher was 1-for-3 and drove in all three of the Diablos' runs.

Shreveport-Bossier 16, Fort Worth 7

The Fort Worth Cats led the Shreveport-Bossier Captains 7-2 after five innings and seemed to have things well in control. However, the Captains scored 14 runs over the final four innings and rolled by the Cats to victory. The Captains 2-3-4 hitters of LF Dwayne White, DH Rodney Medina and 1B Andres Rodriguez combined to go 10-for-18 at the plate with two doubles, six runs scored and eight runs driven in. Shreveport-Bossier reliever Jakob Cunningham pitched three shutout innings to get his first win of the year.
