AMARILLO, Texas - With the fires extinguished and as the community of Fritch, Texas begins the task of putting their lives back together following the devastating fires, the Amarillo Venom have chosen to join the relief efforts by foregoing admission for Saturday night's game against New Mexico and, instead, seek donations.

Beginning Thursday, free tickets - while they last - can be picked up at the Civic Center box office, the Venom kiosk at Westgate Mall, by calling the Venom at (806) 350-7277 or online at www.govenom.com. The Venom will be taking donations at the game, 100 percent of which will go to Fritch fire relief efforts.

Every ticket is courtesy of Shiver, Megert & Associates, McDonalds and Maximum Movers.

"We are - and always have been - neighbors first and a business second," Stephanie Tucker, owner of the Amarillo Venom, said. "And right now, our friends, family and neighbors in Fritch need our help."

The theme for this game is Superheroes Night, to honor all military and civil service employees as well as first responders.

"Themes for games are set at the beginning of the season. Superhero Night is one of our most popular nights. Now we are inviting everyone to enjoy a free football game and to be superheroes themselves by donating to our effort." Tucker said.

The Amarillo Venom, members of the Lone Star Football League, host the New Mexico Stars Saturday night at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex Coliseum. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
