
Allison, Burns Land on PL Top Prospect List

Baseball America has released its list of the Prospect League's Top Prospects for the 2016 season and two Chillicothe Paints made the cut: pitchers Tanner Allison and Brendan Burns.
Allison, a left-handed pitcher from Western Michigan University, made the list for the second-straight summer, he was named the league's top prospect last season. This summer, Allison started seven games and struck out 41 batters over 33 2/3 innings and only walked 12. He also represented the Paints and the East Division this summer as a mid-season all-star.
Burns, a left-handed pitcher from Ball State University, went 4-3 over eight starts and nine appearances this summer for the Paints. He struck out 40 batters over 38 2/3 innings, walked just 17, and finished the summer with a 3.02 ERA. Burns was also named a Prospect League mid-season all-star for his efforts.
