Allen selected WBA Player of Week for May 27 - June 2...

Arkansas ArchAngels guard Myron Allen (181-G, agency: ND Corner Sports, college: North Dakota) has been chosen as the WBA Player of the Week for May 27 - June 2. During week number six, Allen averaged 33.6 points, 7.3 assists, 7 rebounds, 2.6 steals and shot 53.9% from the field (34-63), while leading the Angels to a 3-0 week and a solid lock on the 2nd spot in the WBA's Western Conference. Myron started the week's play off with 27 points, in a 128-116 win on the road at Tunica on May 29th, then logged the WBA 2005 season's highest single-game individual scoring total when he poured in 47 points in a huge 117-116 come from behind win on May 30th at Gulf Coast. To finish the week, Allen chalked up another 27 point effort as Arkansas pasted the Tunica 136-112 in Little Rock on June 2nd. The week catapulted Allen into the number one spot in the scoring charts for the WBA at 26.3 per game. For the season, Allen is also averaging 5.8 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game for Arkansas. Myron, who also received Player of the Week honors in week number four, is a huge part of the turn around that has seen the Angels' season best six-game win streak move them into contention for a first round playoff bye.
