Albany Panthers to Host Player Tryouts on March 6th

ALBANY, GA - The Albany Panthers of the Southern Indoor Football League will host player tryouts for the upcoming 2010 season on Saturday March 6th from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Albany State University.
All interested participants will need to meet at the Albany State University practice field for registration at 9:00 a.m. There will be a registration fee of $50.00 that can be paid on-site via cash, cashiers check or money order. Those who wish to enroll early may do so by logging on to www.albanypanthers.net
"We are in our inaugural season and we're looking for strong local talent," says Albany Panthers Head Coach Lucious Davis. "With all the tremendous talent in the surrounding area, it's important to open up the opportunity to football player in hopes that they may become a part of the Albany Panthers."
Depending on the outcome of participants, the club is hoping to at least have two participants sign contracts after the tryouts if not more. Applicants will perform football tests like the 40-yard dash, L-Drill, 20-yard short shuttle, and a period of individual drills.
