Albany, NY - The Albany Firebirds are proud to announce the re-signing of wide receiver Duane Brown, the 2025 AF1 Offensive Player of the Year, for the 2026 season.

Brown, a proven champion with a title in 2024 with Billings and an Arena Crown Championship with the Albany Firebirds in 2025, brings championship experience and returns to help drive one of the league's most explosive offenses.

In 2025, Brown totaled 1,052 receiving yards and 33 touchdowns, including the postseason. He ranked third in receptions (61), second in total receiving yards (909), first in receiving yards per game (90.9), and first in receiving touchdowns (30). In seven of Albany's ten games, Brown recorded three or more touchdowns, highlighted by a season-best performance against the Liberty with 132 yards and five touchdowns, including a 31-yard long reception.

After an unstoppable 2025 season, Duane Brown signed with the UFL Memphis Showboats in August 2025, but after the league restructured and relocated Memphis, he was unfortunately not signed.

"We are saddened that Duane was not selected to the UFL, but excited to continue to work hard and build more value with Duane to receive another offer from a higher league. It's time to get back to work!" said Head Coach Damon Ware.

The Albany Firebirds kick off their 2026 season at MVP Arena on Saturday, April 11th at 7:00 PM, hosting the Minnesota Monsters. Fans can look forward to a thrilling, fast-paced game and the return of AF1 Offensive Player of the Year Duane Brown.
