AIFA Meetings Begin Friday in Baltimore

November 2, 2007 - American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) News Release

BALTIMORE, Maryland (November 2, 2007) - The American Indoor Football Association is holding league meetings in Baltimore beginning today. The meetings will last Friday and Saturday. The event will take place at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel, located across the street from the 1st Mariner Arena (the home arena for the AIFA's Baltimore Mariners).

Since the AIFA's last meeting in July, the league has brought seven new franchises into the fold. The western expansion of the league is still in progress.

"We have great momentum going into these meetings," said AIFA co-founder John Morris. "The new franchises will add great depth to our league, and we are making excellent strides with our new national TV contract and multimedia initiatives. Our owners have a great deal to be excited about."

League owners will meet with suppliers for goods and services, ranging from uniforms and equipment to insurance. The new owner of the Florence (South Carolina) Phantoms will also be introduced.

The American Indoor Football Association will produce a special edition of This Week In The AIFA, covering news from the league meetings. The program will be posted for download at the OurSports Central web site next week.
