Published on January 4, 2010 under American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) News Release
BALTIMORE, Maryland (January 4, 2010) - The American Indoor Football Association is announcing the establishment of a special fund to benefit the children of John "Johnny" Morris IV. Morris, son of AIFA co-founder John Morris, died unexpectedly at his home on December 19th. He was 30 years old.
Johnny Morris had a great love of the sport of indoor football. He was actively involved in the day-to-day operations of two AIFA franchises, the Baltimore Mariners and the Harrisburg Stampede.
"The incredible support of AIFA fans and our member teams has been very touching for our family," said Morris. "We are grateful for the outpouring of so many people all over the country who have reached out to us during this difficult time."
Monies raised through the Johnny Morris Memorial Fund will go directly to provide for the future needs of Johnny Morris' two daughters, Leah (11 years old) and Alexia (9 years old).
Anyone desiring to contribute to the fund is asked to make their checks payable to the Johnny Morris Memorial Fund. The mailing address is: AIFA, P.O. Box 205, Forest Hills, MD 21050.
