
AIF to Buffalo

BALTIMORE MD - American Indoor Football (AIF) CEO John Morris announced that an ownership group has acquired the League's Buffalo territorial rights for the intention of placing an expansion team for the 2015 season. The AIF is a professional indoor football league with its footprint mainly concentrated on the East Coast. The AIF teams play in venues that seat anywhere from 2,000 to 15,000 fans. The AIF season runs March through May of each year.

The Buffalo area is home to more than 1.3 million people and fits well into our geographic footprint. We look forward to an intense brand of Indoor Football that will captivate this great city."

With millions of residents watching football every week, the Buffalo area is one of upstate New York's most vibrant and proud football communities. The region has filled stadiums for countless games and its teams have represented the leagues in the APFA, AFL and the NFL. Buffalo also is the fourth longest-lived of the NFL's original 13 teams and the distinction of having participated in the first NFL trade.
