April 23, 2002 - American Hockey League (AHL) News Release
The sixth winner-take-all game of this AHL postseason faces off tonight at the Paul E. Tsongas Arena in Lowell as the North Division champion Lock Monsters take on the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference, the St. John's Maple Leafs (7:00 ET, 8:30 NT). Home ice has been an advantage so far in the series, with each team winning twice in its own rink. The Leafs have momentum on their side, coming off a 2-0 victory on Saturday in which Sebastien Centomo made 40 saves. Lowell's Jeff Heerema and Ted Drury and the Leafs' Bobby House lead all scorers with five points each in the series. Donald MacLean, the AHL's leading scorer in the regular season, has four points for St. John's, all in Game 3. MacLean and teammate Anders Eriksson are each a plus-6 in the postseason, tops in the AHL.
