NEW YORK â Haddad Apparel Group, the children's wear leader, announced today that they will enter into an exclusive three-year retail agreement with the Arena Football League to design, market and manufacture AFL branded apparel and accessories for kids.
The agreement will commence with Spring 2005 shipments in which Haddad will market kid's apparel for the AFL exclusively. Haddad plans to market apparel, headwear, accessories, and sleepwear in several AFL markets for the initial season.
"The addition of Haddad fills a critical void in our product line," said GLENN HORINE, Executive Vice President of AFL Properties. "The AFL's youthful demographic will provide Haddad with a strong foundation at market level."
"We are thrilled to be a part of this exciting and growing league," said JACK HADDAD, President of Haddad Apparel Group. "We are looking forward to being a part of their initial children's apparel launch."
A recent ESPN Kids Poll indicates that almost one-half (49 percent) of kids age seven to 11 are fans of the AFL.
