
AFL Coaches' Poll Week 2

TULSA, OKLA. ¬" The San Jose SaberCats remained in the top spot in the Week 2 Coaches ¬â¢ Poll after a narrow home victory, 60-57, over JJ Raterink and the Kansas City Command. San Jose kicker Juan Gamboa notched the game winning field goal with two seconds remaining to give the SaberCats a lead and eventual victory. The Rattlers received four first place votes and jumped into second place after defeating Milwaukee, 62-31, in Week 2.
The Chicago Rush jumped up three positions to third place after defeating the Philadelphia Soul, 62-28. The Rush will now play host to number one ranked San Jose on Friday, March 25 at 8:30p.m. EST. The Orlando Predators fell two spots in the Poll after winning their season opener at New Orleans, 47-34. Orlando will have their home opener against QB Tommy Grady and the Utah Blaze on Saturday.
Dallas jumped into the Polls for the first time after defeating Tulsa, 64-40, in Week 2. The Vigilantes thumped Kansas City, 53-46, in Week 1 and are now one of four teams in the AFL with a 2-0 start. Cleveland and Utah also jumped into the Poll for the first time after winning their Week 2 matchups.
Jacksonville and Pittsburgh both won in Week 2 and managed to stay in the bottom half of the top 10. Philadelphia is the only team in the Poll that lost in Week 2. Philadelphia has a bye week and will look to return to winning form against Milwaukee on Monday, April 4. After being featured for two weeks in the Poll, the defending champions Spokane Shock (0-2) have dropped out of the top 10. The Shock look to get back on track on NFL Network ¬â¢s ¬ÅArena Football Friday ¬Â as they travel to Iowa on Friday, March 25 at 8:00p.m. EST.
