
AFL Awards Week 11 Players of the Week

LAS VEGAS - The Arena Football League has announced that Philadelphia's Dan Raudabaugh, Jacksonville's Greg Reid and Philadelphia's Darius Reynolds have been named as the Under Armour Offensive Player, Riddell Defensive Player and AFL Playmaker of the Week for Week 11, respectively. In addition to these awards, the AFL has awarded Orlando's Greg Carr the Cutters Catch of the Week, while the AFL Highlight of the Week was awarded to Tampa Bay's T.T. Toliver. UNDER ARMOUR OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Raudabaugh (6'3, 225, Miami (OH)) connected on 20-of-23 passes for 261 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions to lead the Philadelphia Soul to a 73-37 victory over the Los Angeles KISS (4-6) at Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ this past weekend. His consistent play was the spark on offense when he did not throw an incomplete pass in the second half as the Soul pulled away for the victory. The 2015 AFL MVP has connected on 230-of-329 passes (69.9%) for 2,806 yards and 65 touchdowns in 2016. The Soul (9-2) will travel to Talking Stick Resort Arena to play the Arizona Rattlers (8-3) on Friday, June 17 at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2. This is the third time Raudabaugh has won this award in 2016, winning it in Weeks 4 and 7.
RIDDELL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Reid (5'9, 185, Florida State) led the Sharks (5-5) defense as they defeated the Tampa Bay Storm, 67-34, this past weekend at Amalie Arena. The 2015 Rookie of the Year had 5.5 total tackles, two pass breakups, a 21-yard interception returned for a touchdown and a 48-yard fumble return for a touchdown that sealed the victory. On the season, Reid has 67.0 total tackles, a League-leading eight interceptions, 17 pass break-ups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Reid and the Sharks will host the in-state rival Orlando Predators (9-2) on Saturday, June 18 at 7 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network. This is the second time Reid has won this award in 2016, winning it in Week 8.
J. LEWIS SMALL PLAYMAKER OF THE WEEK: Reynolds (6'2, 210, Iowa State) helped lead the Philadelphia Soul to a 73-37 victory over the Los Angeles KISS (4-6) at Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ this past weekend. The four-year veteran hauled in a game-high 10 receptions for 141 yards and four total touchdowns (3 receiving and 1 on-side kick return). The former All-Arena performer leads Philadelphia in receptions (83), receiving yards (1,037), receiving touchdowns (26) and points (168) in 2016. Reynolds and the Soul will travel to Talking Stick Resort Arena to play the Arizona Rattlers (8-3) on Friday, June 17 at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2. This is the second time Reynolds has won this award, winning it in Week 5.
CUTTERS CATCH OF THE WEEK: Carr (6'6, 230, Florida State) didn't let fans get in his way, when he hauled in a 21-yard pass from QB Randy Hippeard to set up K Mark Lewis' game-winning field goal in Saturday's 59-56 win over the Cleveland Gladiators. The former Seminole tallied nine receptions for 95 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Carr has 66 receptions for 915 yards and 19 touchdowns on the season.
AFL HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK: Toliver (6'0, 185, Bethune Cookman) made history this past weekend, by becoming the AFL's all-time receiving yards leader with 15,232 yards. Toliver passed AFL Hall-of-Famer Damian Harrell on a 13-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter. The 13-year veteran is only five receptions shy of passing Harrell (1,164) as the all-time receptions leader.

Riddell Defensive Player candidates included: Arizona's KJ Morton, Orlando's Terence Moore and Philadelphia's Tracy Belton.
J. Lewis Small Playmaker candidates included: Arizona's Anthony Amos, Cleveland's Arvell Nelson and Quentin Sims, Jacksonville's Dexter Jackson and Orlando's Brandon Thompkins.
