AFL Announces Partnership with Game Day Skinz
March 10, 2015 - Arena Football League (AFL) News Release
CHICAGO - The Arena Football League (AFL) and Game Day Skinz announced a partnership today that will allow AFL teams to wear customized vinyl overlays on helmets this season.
"Game Day Skinz is proud to be working with the AFL and helping them make their dream helmets a reality," said Krissy Cobb, COO of Game Day Skinz. "We are excited to work with such a prestigious organization and help these teams add even more flash to their uniform looks. We also believe it is pertinent to assist them beyond just adding variety to their look, but also to help spread and raise awareness for the worthy causes they support with their themed games."
Game Day Skinz can be used for theme nights and special occasions, or to simply provide a fresh new look without having to purchase entirely new helmets. The overlays are easily applied to the helmet on-site, and quickly removed by simply peeling the skin from the helmet. Game Day Skinz do not leave any sticky residue after being removed and do not damage or alter the structure of the helmet in any way.
"The AFL is a unique brand of football and this is an excellent opportunity to capitalize on that," AFL Commissioner Scott C. Butera said. "This partnership with Game Day Skinz will allow our teams to celebrate special occasions like Military Appreciation Nights, 'throwback' games, and rivalry contests in a very exciting, creative way."
