
ACHL to Hold Games in Savannah

The Atlantic Coast Hockey League today announced that it will stage two regular season professional hockey games at the Savannah Civic Center in late February. The two games are considered "test" games by the ACHL to gauge the interest in possibly placing an ACHL franchise in Savannah in time for the 2003-2004 hockey season.
ACHL Game Information:
Friday, February 21st @ 7:30PM: Macon Trax vs. Winston-Salem Parrots
and
Saturday, February 22nd @ 7:30PM: Cape Fear Fire Antz (Fayetteville, NC)
vs. Winston-Salem Parrots
Ticket Information:
Ticket prices are $8.00, $10.00, and $12.00 and are now on sale at the Savannah Civic Center Box Office; or by phone @ 912-651-6556 or 800-351-7469; or on line at www.savannahcivic.com ; or at Select-A-Seat locations in the Savannah area. All tickets are subject to the Civic Center's $1.50 per ticket facility surcharge.
"Based on the 10,000+ hockey fans who supported last weekend's college hockey tournament in Savannah, there appears to be a lot of hockey interest in the area," ACHL President Bill Coffey said. "These two games are a golden opportunity for the Savannah area to show their support for professional hockey."
The Atlantic Coast Hockey League is currently in its first year of operation with six teams playing a 60 game schedule. The six league teams this season are:

Winston-Salem (North Carolina) Parrots
Cape Fear (Fayetteville, North Carolina) Fire Antz
