Lafayette, La. - The Acadiana Cane Cutters bounce back tonight to beat the Brazos Valley Bombers to go up a game in the series. The Cane Cutters had phenomenal pitching throughout the game in defeating the Bombers 1-0. Look for Acadiana to continue this momentum into tomorrow night's game against the Brazos Valley Bombers at 7pm at Fabacher Field.
Acadiana pitched a shutout tonight against the Bombers. Beau Hebert (Louisiana College) pitched 4 strikeouts in 6+ innings and was able to receive the win. Turner Toms (Chipola) went 2+ innings allowing no hits and got the save. The Acadiana Cane Cutters will look to stay hot on the mound tomorrow night in the last game of the homestand against the Bombers.
Ethan Lege (Delgado) continues to show outstanding batting skills by hitting a moonshot tonight at Fabacher. Meanwhile, Austin Trahan (Nicholls State) was able to hit a double, and Mateo Beltran (Panola) was able to get on base with a single and record the only stolen base on the night.
The Cane Cutters will be back in action tomorrow night against the Brazos Valley Bombers as Acadiana looks to stay hot while finishing their homestand at Fabacher Field.
