VICTORIA, Tx. - The Acadiana Cane Cutters dropped the road series to the Victoria Generals by a score of 9-2.

The Cutters struck first in the first inning with great base running, scoring on a wild pitch with the bases loaded. Cole Secrest (Lamar University) added run number two in the third after reaching base on a double and being driven in by fellow Cardinal Nathan Gabryszwski (Lamar University). The Cutters had a few more hits in later innings but were unable to capitalize.

Alex Nelms (University of Southern Mississippi) started for the Cane Cutters and threw 5.1 innings with five strikeouts. The Cane Cutters also produced a 5-4-3 double play to take the Generals down in order in the fifth inning.
