Acadiana Cane Cutters Crush Woodlands

The Cane Cutters won big for the second night in a row, beating the Woodlands Strykers 13-1 in Game Two of their two game set one night after Acadiana won 18-6 in the Woodlands. The win improved the Cane Cutters' record to 31-25 overall with a 17-9 second half record, leading the Texas Collegiate League over the Brazos Valley Bombers by one game. The win also means the Cane Cutters are that much closer to earning a second playoff birth.

Acadiana scored 13 runs on 23 hits against the Strykers, scoring a total 31 runs in the series. LSU outfielder Chris Sciambra lead the attack, driving in a total of 6 runs on 3 hits with a double and a run scored. Texas A&M catcher Mitchell Nau also had a big night or the Cane Cutters, going 4 for 5 with a double, an RBI, and 3 runs scored. Logan Taylor also had 3 hits with 3 RBIs with a double and scored 3 runs.
