ABALiveTalk to focus on new ABA expansion teams
Published on April 21, 2006 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Los Angeles, CA. Derrick Pearson, host of ABALIVETALK, announced that this week's show will focus on some of the newer expansion teams in the ABA, plus a segment on the focus of intern opportunities with teams in the league. The one hour weekly program can be heard Saturdays at 3pm EST on www.abalive.com.
Pearson is also excited to focus this week's show on Alexandria-Mongolia United, an expansion team that will feature Mongolian players similar to the Aoshen Olympian team from Beijing that played in Maywood, CA last season. According to Pearson, "I understand that Aoshen and Alexandria-Mongolia are the first of many "international" teams that will have teams in the ABA. The ABA is the most diversified league ever with its ownership - and now that diversification is being manifested in its teams. It's amazing actually."
The weekly "Ask the CEO" segment will include emails from ABA CEO Joe Newman. To email Joe Newman, send emails to joenewman@abalive.com. To email ABALIVETALK, use abalivetalk@aol.com. For more information, visit www.abalive.com.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
