
ABA to Lake Charles, Louisiana in 2005

Indianapolis, IN. Joe Newman, ABA co-Founder, today announced that Lake Charles, Louisiana has been added to the fast-growing professional basketball league in 2005.
According to Newman, "We are very pleased with the owner, MonaLisa Drake. Her background in business, sports, entertainment and community affairs fits our profile perfectly - and of course, we're very pleased to add another woman owner."
Ms. Drake owns several businesses, including: The Starting Line Up - Host and Owner of a basketball talk show showcasing high school, collegiate and pro leagues; Nutri-Fit Camp - A five hour nutritional and fitness awareness program targeting overweight and obese youth and adults. JerZee Group - International marketing specializing in sports events. The Lela Foundation - A non-profit benefiting youth in sports and fitness (www.TheLelaFoundation.org).
Ms. Drake added, "Basically, this is a dream come true for me. We are going to work very hard to bring great sports, entertainment and community involvement to Lake Charles - and we're already starting. It should be great fun."
