ABA game tickets to be available via internet
Published on September 14, 2004 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. Joe Newman, ABA Co-Founder, today announced that individual game tickets for all ABA games will be available this season via internet with the signing of an agreement between Global Entertainment Ticketing, Inc. (GetTix.net) and the league. According to Newman, "Fans will be able to log onto either the ABA website (www.abalive.com) or directly to www.GetTix.net to order their tickets for specific games. The tickets will then be available on game night by going to the Will Call window at the arena. Fans can use their credit cards; it is fast and easy and of course, they'll receive the best available seats for the low price of $12.00.
Newman added, "We looked at several companies that provide this ticket service and were impressed with the ease and simplicity of the GetTix.net system. GetTix provides this service to a variety of clients in the sports and entertainment industry and they all seem to appear to be very happy with the results and the professionalism of the GetTix team."
Richard Floco, President of GetTix.net, concluded, "We have been very impressed with the growth of the ABA and the extraordinary interest the league has generated in the US, Canada and Mexico. While we know that most fans will be season ticket holders and many take advantage of group sales promotions, we also know that many people like to reserve their seats via the internet and enjoy picking up their tickets at the game. We will provide this service to this exciting league and are pleased to partner with the ABA."
