ABA expansion continues with Chattanooga

February 9, 2005 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. Joe Newman, ABA CEO, today announced that a second team will play in Tennessee in the 2005-2006 season with the addition of Chattanooga. According to Newman, "We are having great success in developing our regional plan and creating good rivalries. Chattanooga is an excellent city for the ABA and the games between teams like Nashville, Kentucky, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Birmingham and others should be interesting. The league continues to grow rapidly and the popularity builds."

The ownership group consists of two businessmen, Michael Rogers, President and CEO of NexMission, LLC and Publisher of The nexLEVEL Recruiting Magazine which debuts in June and John Tyner, President and CEO of Tyner Entertainment & Sports Management Group and licensed sports Agent. According to Rogers, "Our goal is to offer the team as a gift to the city and surrounding communities. Working heavily with the business and other aspects of the community, we hope to create a dynamic environment for quality family entertainment, a cost effective superior product and give back by reaching out to our youth."

Tyner added, "We know the success of the league stems from strong ownership groups who are dedicated and committed to the fans, teams, players and the cities in which they play. The people of Chattanooga will be proud of this team, I can assure you."

Rogers and Tyner got their "feet wet" with the ABA earlier this season when they joined with Coach Ralph Underhill and resurrected the Cincinnati ABA team now playing as the Cincinnati Monarchs. "This is really fun; its complex and very challenging - but we see nothing but a very bright future for the ABA and us - and we are excited to get started for a full season of play. Chattanooga - Here we come." For more information, contact John Tyner at john@teamtyner.com or call 404 886 5676 or Michael Rogers at nexmission@yahoo.com or 770 345 8704 or visit www.abalive.com.
