ABA Adds Georgia Knights
June 14, 2010 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) www.abalive.com today announced that it has added the Georgia Knights to its Southeast Division for the upcoming season. The team will play in Stonebridge Georgia. "This is an exciting team because one of the owners, team CEO/President Will Campbell is a former ABA player who played several years ago with the Nashville Rhythm," said Joe Newman, ABA CEO. "We have always felt that ABA players could and should go into management and ownership after their careers, and Will is the perfect example of that happening. How good is that?"
Will Campbell is a native of Chicago with a passion for basketball. He was a guard for the University of Memphis Tigers where he was coached by John Calipari. Due to a careering ending knee injury, he began to focus on a business career but the love of the game never left him.
"I've looked into getting back into basketball for quite sometime," stated Campbell. "Two business partners, Shearin and Kristen Kinder, have joined with me to form INGS ((Innovative Network Global Solutions), a consulting firm under INGS LLC, designed to develop a sports management company. We have started already to develop an excellent basketball team and have hired Kailin Hindsman and Larry Shields to coach. We will be competitive on and off the court - and are very excited about being part of this incredible league.
A dream come true for all of us." For more information, email ingssportsmanagement@gmail.com or call 678 561 0313 or visit www.abalive.com. And watch for additional announcements.
