Yuma Bullfrogs News Release

Team President

The âFrogs victory on Friday night makes them a playoff team and Southern Division Champions for the First Half of the WBL season. The team began this extraordinary season with the notion that 2002 would indeed be the summer of miracles. Well, the first miracle was achieved last night and it is so important amidst the fun to remind everyone of the total team and community effort that made it so. The first half championship is the first dividend that goes to our great fans, our sensational players, our top-notch front office and the fabulous citizens and local leaders of Yuma. We are very proud of our first place finish, but also humble and realize it has been accomplished by the good will and hard work of many people.
It is appropriate for us to say thanks and the team is announcing a "Thank you Yuma" night on this Monday. Every one from the greater Yuma area is invited to come to see the Championship team play against Yuba-Sutter and to come for FREE. Admission to the game is free as a token of our gratitude. Enjoy YOUR team and come see us!
Finally, miracles, like championships, very often are propelled by modest folk who give much and ask little. There is one group of special people who typify the "get-it-done" drive that is the essence of Yuma and that is the marvelous men and women of the Yuma Bullfrogs Booster Club. I offer today the thanks of a grateful organization to that wonderful group of people. And, I note in all of professional sports there is no team that has a Booster Club like the one in Yumaâthey are simply the best!
Respectfully,
Jim
