Florida Tuskers News Release

ORLANDO, FL - MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 2010In what promises to be just the beginning of flurry of roster moves in the next 48 hours, the Florida Tuskers released nine players over the weekend, while adding a pair of offensive lineman.

The Tuskers signed offensive tackles Zipp Duncan from the University of Kentucky and Maine's Tyler Eastman. Both players were recently waived from NFL training camps, as Duncan was waived on Aug. 28 from the Philadelphia Eagles, while Eastman was released from the Kansas City Chiefs.

Duncan was a four-year letterman and a three-year starter at UK, where he played left offensive tackle. He was selected to the second unit of the All-SEC team as a senior. Eastman was a two-year starter at the University of Maine. He was a 2nd team All-Colonial Conference team selection as a senior and played for the US team in the Nation vs. Texas All-Star game.

"Depth at offensive line has been a primary concern for us throughout training camp," Tuskers Head Coach Jay Gruden said. "With NFL making final cuts this weekend, we're obviously looking for any players we feel can make us a better team."

Over the weekend, the Tuskers released a total of nine players from its 70-man roster. Sunday's cuts included FB Darian Barnes (Hampton) and OL Bobby Harris (Ole Miss). Earlier, the Tuskers released WR Bennie Brazell (LSU), DT Jarriett Buie (South Florida), P Aaron Horne (UCF), WR CJ Jones (Iowa), WR Ryne Robinson (Miami OH), DB Antwain Spann (Louisiana Lafayette) and LB Brett Warren (Virginia Tech)

With the addition of Eastman and Duncan, along with the nine players waived, the Tuskers now have 63 players in training camp. The team is expected to get down to the league-mandated 52-player roster following practice on Tuesday.
