Montreal Impact News Release
MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced Tuesday the suspension of forward Peter Byers for a period yet to be determined, for breaching a team rule.
"Peter has to assume the consequences of his actions," said technical director Nick De Santis. "He is a good person but it is not the first time he does this. As a professional club, it is important for us to clearly establish our principles and our philosophy."
Earlier this season, Byers had been sent to the club's reserve team for one week, for similar reasons.
Note that the Impact will play its next match against the Carolina RailHawks, this Saturday, August 7, in Cary (7pm, Radio-Canada, carolinarailhawks.com).
